There is no respect from kids these days. Everyone is forgetting that this kid said that they enjoy getting in trouble with the police. And If it said no skateboarding they should not have been skateboarding. People complain about prison overcrowding, but if these parents don't teach their kids respect for the law. Prison is axactly where these kids will end up." -- Chuck "I think it is a shame the officer is the one being critized and the skateboarder is crying 'woe is me'. The young man was in the breaking the law - in the wrong! The officer gave him a speach - that the parents should reinforce (breaking the law, disrespect to an adult / officer, resisting the officer). The young man should have stayed down as told - picture him 5-10 years from now 'breaking the law and not obeying an officer' that could be devastaing to both the young man and the officer.
Reign of Terror - The South Hill Rapist
The story: After 25-years in prison, convicted "South Hill" rapist, Frederick "Kevin" Coe, is scheduled to be released this September.Play slideshow: Launch In 1980, the city of Spokane lost its innocence. A rapist, preying mostly on woman living on the city's South Hill, had police frustrated as the mounting toll of victims began to attract media attention. The perpetrator was recast as the South Hill rapist and panic began to descend on the city. Finally in the spring of 1981 a break in the case led to the arrest of Frederick "Kevin" Coe whose father happened to be the managing editor of the Spokane Daily Chronicle newspaper. After two trials and having served 25-years in prison, Coe is scheduled to be released this September. Now state prosecutors are looking at filing a civil case that could keep Coe behind bars for the rest of his life.
Closure in Colusa?
After a few months, with no leads to pursue, Colusa County named her Jane Doe, and then buried her in a local cemetery. More than a quarter century later, the family of Nellie Cornman Flickinger believes Jane Doe is a mother of five who left her children with a promise on a spring day in 1979 and headed west. As he waits for scientific testing, including DNA analysis, the prospect of a match is as startling as it is gratifying, said Michael Nelson, one of Flickinger's children. "I can't sleep at all. It's terrfying. My whole past jumps up in front of me," said Nelson, who lives near Erie, Pa. Nelson, now 38, was 10 the day his mother left him and his four siblings at the Erie home of their grandmother. His mother said she was going to California with a man, possibly a military man, to right her life and eventually send for her children.
2007 Saturn Vue Greenline FWD Hybrid SUV Review
"Go green for little green" is the thought behind Saturn's first hybrid, the Vue Greenline. It's a light gasoline-electric hybrid - meaning that it never operates in electric-only mode - but it does have all of the other fuel-saving benefits of a hybrid vehicle. Once the engine is warmed up, it usually shuts off at a stop, depending on load and conditions. An electric motor/generator provides extra power when needed for acceleration, and recharges the battery pack when slowing. It also improves braking performance with the magnetic drag from that regenerative braking. This adds up to, according to Saturn, an approximate 20 percent increase in fuel economy for a price premium of only $2,000. Expect more Greenline models in the Saturn lineup, and elsewhere in the GM family, in the future.
