Four decades passed before the issue was formally brought up again, at the 2003 owners meeting in Philly. There, Rooney, Lurie, Pottsville mayor John D. W. Reiley and Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell offered a solution that had then-commissioner Paul Tagliabue's blessing: Let the Cards and the Maroons share the title. .

Viewers' Comments On Randy Salerno - Part 3
To those who were there, that moment was less about the movie story and more about what kind of person Randy was friendly, full of life, and captivating. Clearly, what viewers saw through their television sets was true and genuine. God Bless. -Michael F., Huntley My sincere and heartfelt condolences to all of you at CBS, and to the family of Randy Salerno. Although I wasn't able to watch the morning news as often since my change to the second shift, I remember fondly, many a morning of laughter and joy because of this amazing individual. Randy could change my sober mood into a giggle fit in no time. On many mornings, my son would call me to make sure I was watching, and we'd laugh together while Randy had his co-workers in stitches on the air. I'm sitting here watching the many tributes to Randy Salerno...which are not limited to Channel 2...and in the midst of my tears, I am again finding myself laughing at the wonderful memories being shared.
